Texting “Fountain Woman” gets water damage!

While strolling along at the local mall, a woman who was texting learned the hard way that texting can be dangerous, not only while driving, but while walking.

A mall fountain, not a small object but large, and full of water, tripped the woman up while texting sending her face first into the drink.

Fountain, 1. Woman, 0.

Cathy Cruz Marrero is the woman in the texting/ fountain video and she is mortified that this video made it’s way onto the internet. And she may be suing. Marrero says that she contacted mall security after the texting/ fountain incident and claims they took 20 minutes to respond and by that time she had left. Marrero is also angry that security are heard laughing in the video – and aren’t coming to her aid.

She’s lawyered up and is ready to make that fountain PAY.

Her attorney James M. Polyak released the following statement: “We are troubled by the fact that anyone at the Berkshire Mall responsible for releasing this video would find humor in an employee injured on the premises. We intend to hold the appropriate persons responsible.”

    First off, its clear as day that she’s the one who’s being negligent in texting & walking. People take the risk & don’t realize their causing their accident. I mean c’mon its obvious that this lady had to have seen this fountain at some point either before that day or when she entered the mall. Its not like the fountain appeared up on her. It was there & had been there. && as for the mall security? Assholes. So rude for posting that video. But, its not like its worthy of being sued. What’s interesting is that when the video is shown, its a playback. Who’s to say that “Mall security Bob” wasn’t watching at 2pm when this happened & let the cleaning guy know immediately. I mean he did show up right after she began walking out. I think its unfortunate that happened to that lady but it was her own fault & there’s no way she’s gonna be able to sue.
