Halle Berry: Is she plotting a smear campaign against Gabriel Aubry?
Halle Berry’s custody battle with Gabriel Aubry is getting uglier by the minute – and we mean UGLY
Since these two split last year, things have been going rather smoothly, until recently when all hell seemed to break loose. Now it’s a big ol’ drama being played out in the media – when it really should be kept quiet.
Halle and Gabriel are duking it out for custody of their almost 3-year old daughter, Nahla, and the dirty laundry is flying.
Halle Berry, completely out of the blue, mind you, went to the press with information that the custody battle was completely Gabriel’s fault and that her daughter shouldn’t be left alone with him. She also blamed Gabriel for having to pull out of a project.
Halle’s statement to media earlier this week via her rep: “Halle Berry was forced to pull out of a film production in New York this week due to pending custody litigation involving her daughter. She has attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter’s father, Gabriel Aubry, directly, but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention. Halle has serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her. Halle has always made the needs and safety of her daughter her first priority and, both while Halle and Gabriel were a couple and since their break-up, Halle has only acted in her daughter’s best interest.”
Team Halle has since leaked that Gabriel Aubry has called Halle the ‘N’ word and was verbally abusive as well.
Team Gabriel (and many, many followers of celebrity gossip) believes that Halle Berry and her camp are out to ruin Gabriel Aubry’s reputation in order to get Halle custody of Nahla. The problem is that Gabriel Aubry has been an amazing father and wants to be extremely involved in his daughter’s life. Now that Halle doesn’t want him in her life anymore, she wants him out of Nahla’s life as well. Sorry, sweetheart, but it doesn’t work that way.
All this, and not a peep out of Gabriel Aubry or his camp. Until now.
Gabriel has shot back (through his rep) at the many allegations being thrown his way by Halle – and he kept it classy.
“While Gabriel is disappointed in Halle’s decision to falsely malign him publicly and for her own purposes, he refuses to be pulled into her dispute over a canceled film production. Gabriel also refuses to air their issues in the press as he believes this may ultimately harm their daughter. The fact is that Gabriel is a caring father who shares custody of Nahla. Gabriel fully believes that a consistent and balanced living situation and two loving parents are crucial for their child even if Ms. Berry feels otherwise. He will always defend his rights as a father and will always consider Nahla’s best interest. Halle’s continuing allegations in the press are untrue and irresponsible.”
It sure does seem easy to agree with Gabriel on this one. It’s apparent that Halle is using her celebrity and the press to get what she wants. Who knew she could be so vindictive?

the truth usually lies in the middle of what both of parties are saying. but man halle berry should just stay single, she seems to be picking some awful men. she needs to examine why she chooses these abusive men.
Halle grew up in chaos -her mom was abused and now she is a mess for life in terms of relationships. Women that grow up seeing chaos like that go back and forth between being needy and villianizing men. – or seem like they hate a man but love him equally. Like if a man is not perfect- one false move-and that man is evil. Like there is such distrust of men that a man must prove he is perfect and any sign that he is not or any sign that he may hurt her emotionaly and she destroys him figuratively. She seems bitter over something to me- and unfortunately the child becomes the pawn. Halle does not own that girl-she is both hers and his. And she looks strikingly like HIM-perhaps that threatens her even more -hence having to insecurely maintain that SHE IS BLACK-LIKE ME. Gabriel is a very handsome man -doesnt he kinda look like he was drawn by Disney? I can see her loving him deep down but being very insecure with him and hence threatened and hence-feeling like he is the villian. I am siding with the guy-just by what i know about Halle and dysfunctional womens behavior in relationships involving children.
