Tony Hawk and wife Lhotse Merriam to divorce
Tony Hawk’ and wife Lhotse Merriam are the latest celebrity couple to announce they have decided to divorce.
Hawk filed for divorce from Merriam on Friday. The couple married on January 12, 2006, on the island of Tavarua, Fiji. They have one child together, daughter Kadence Clover Hawk, who was born on June 30, 2008.
The couple released the following statement regarding their divorce: “We have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. We remain deeply committed and loving parents to our daughter, and out of respect for that responsibility we ask that people honor our family’s privacy during this important time of transition. Thank you for your understanding.”
Lhotse Merriam is Tony Hawk’s third wife and baby mama. Hawk married first wife Cindy Dunbar in April 1990.They had a son, Hudson “Riley” Hawk, in 1993 and they also split that same year. Tony Hawk then married wife #2 Erin Lee in 1996. They had two sons, Spencer (b. 1999) and Keegan (b. 2001). The couple divorced in 2004.
