Barbra Streisand sang her hit, ‘Evergreen,’ from the 1976 movie, A Star is Born.

Barbra Streisand’s music reminds me of growing up in the 1970′s. My parents (dad especially) were practically obsessed with her and so I grew up listening to her 8-Track or records quite often. In fact, the first movie I remember seeing at the drive-in was ‘A Star is Born.’

I’ve read some pretty scathing criticism regarding Barbra’s Grammy performance, but I loved it. Barbra Streisand, 68, of course can’t sing like she did when she was in her 30′s but I still enjoy listening to her. Sadly, as we age, our vocal cords age with us. But for 68, Barbra still looks and sounds fabulous.

    Strange – but here it sounds better than at the Grammy TV channel yesterday night…The sound was so DULL !
    Now it sounds more clear, Barbra voice sounds stronger – however there are some little mistakes at her intonation. But my impression is now not so negative like before.

    I think she sounded phenomenal as always. Most people have only heard the CD or album, and there everything is made “perfect”. I thought she sounded a LOT better than some of her younger counterparts. She hit more notes and had more smooth transistion in her voice. There will NEVER be another Barbra Striesand! She is DEFINITELY a legend in the music business.

    Barbra es la cantante mas grandiosa que se ha dado en el planeta. Le he seguido toda su trayectosria admirable por mas de 40 años y tengo toda su discografía. Su ultimo trabajo “Love is the awnser” es de antología. Me emocionó verla en los Grammys y el homenaje que le rindieron.

    There is simply NO ONE that can come close to Barbara in any shape, way or form when it comes to her singing. She is as close to perfect in her range, etc. I have loved her since I was 16 yrs. old and she still is my hero in not only her singing career but how she lives her life and cares deeply about people and the USA. She should be given an award every year as far as I’m concerned. Keep on singing………Barbara…….one day I WILL see you in person.

    I love Barbra, Waiting to see her and then hit a wrong button on the tv, and missed the whole thing. Thank God for this site. A friend found it for me. You Rock Barbra. I see you everyday as I have a large framed print in my home office of you. I feel like we’re friends. You have always been my favorite. Keep show’in ‘em how it’s done. You Are the BEST.
