Lindsay Lohan is going to trial for jewelry heist
Lindsay Lohan is determined to not serve a single minute behind bars over the necklace that she is being accused of stealing and she is going to trial to prove it.
Lindsay Lohan made an appearance in court this morning, accused of stealing the one-of-a-kind necklace. If Lindsay accepts any sort of plea deal she will have to do some time behind bars. In fact, the Deputy District Attorney, Danette Meyers suggested six months in jail. Lohan’s attorney Shawn Chapman Holley passed on that notion, which the judge was prepared for. Instead, Lindsay will be going to trial. If she is found guilty, she could get a year in state prison.
It looks like Judge Keith Schwartz is ready to lay down the hammer and is tired of Lindsay’s constant issues with the law. “I don’t care that you’re Lindsay Lohan,” he told her.
TMZ is reporting that no matter the outcome, Lindsay Lohan WILL most likely serve jail time again. How much jail time is the question.
The judge ruled Lindsay’s preliminary hearing and probation violation case will be heard at the same time. At the end of the preliminary hearing, if the judge feels it’s more likely than not that she stole the necklace, Lindsay will be thrown in jail immediately while she awaits trial on the grand theft case.
So even if Lindsay is ultimately found not guilty at trial, she’ll still be in jail for the probation violation.
“In case people are wondering, I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal,” Lindsay recently Tweeted. Seriously? Who taught her that? Because I KNOW it wasn’t her parents! How many times has Lindsay lied in the past? More times than I have fingers and toes. SO many times, in fact, that I pretty much don’t believe anything that comes out of that freckled mouth anymore.
She ought to plead this doesn’t count as the rehab was so good I forgot it and doing drugs, getting drunk, or giving anyone trouble.
