Survivor Redemption Island Recap – No mo’ Russell
Ding dong, Russell Hantz is gone!
Second player to be voted off Survivor Redemption Island is indeed, Mr. Russell Hantz. He’s gone far in the past, but this time around people knew what to expect. Had he have changed his game play up a bit he may have had more of a chance. But he didn’t, and he blew his second chance by losing to Matt in the Survivor Redemption Island face-off.

Then came the tears.
Russell Hantz, the biggest, baddest LeRoy Brown of Survivor, crumbled. He pulled his hat down over his eyes and quivered like a Chihuahua, much to the delight of his anti-fans.
It’s not the Rob vs. Russell show anymore. It’s the Rob vs. Ralph show. Or it was – for a minute.
Ralph screwed up by boasting to Russell, telling him (and those who witnessed the Survivor Redemption Island showdown), that he had an immunity idol. Sarita shushed him, but it was too late. Ralph insisted he was only bluffing Russell, but no one seemed to believe him. Especially former ‘Special Agent,’ Phillip, who called him on it. “I earned my living knowing when people are lying!!” he barked at Ralph while scanning him.
Sidenote: I think a Survivor Redemption Recap drinking game is in order! Every time Phillip says “Special Agent”, you drink!
Boston Rob’s team, Ometepe, what a laughable bunch of clowns. Except for that Grant guy, that boy is fine. I have to agree with Russell though, the team is a joke. Rob is playing his whole team and they’re all following him around like a bunch of puppy dogs. No one is ever suspicious of him – or his ideas. That’s why he found the immunity idol. At least he knows not to share it this early in the game.
Christina is the only one on that team who thinks for herself. OK. Maybe we should say that in past tense . . . since she was the one voted off this week! Yes, it was Christina, the MILF with the, well, you know. I was bummed she was voted off simply because she was the only one who wasn’t being a follower. She could have brought the drama too.
Christina does have a second chance though, at Survivor’s Redemption Island, and she will face off against Matt who’s already got one successful fight under his belt. After seeing Matt’s determination in this week’s battle against Russell, I’d say Christina had better bring her best game because it’s not going to be easy to beat him.
