Rebecca Black on The Tonight Show [Videos]

13-year old Rebecca Black on The Tonight Show

YouTube sensation Rebecca Black has been trending on Twitter, Google and everywhere else online this past week, but not because people love her song and video for “Friday.”

It’s because they despise it.

In case you have been living under a rock, Rebecca Black is a 13-year old Anaheim kid who recorded a single named, “Friday,” and released it on YouTube and iTunes on February 10th, 2011. The first four weeks the song got about 1000 views, but after going viral on March 11th, the video received a million views in just a few short days.

Friday is being hailed as the worst song ever recorded due to it’s ridiculous lyrics, and despite being “cyber bullied” on Twitter about the song, Rebecca Black is laughing all the way to the bank.

As terrible as the song is, Rebecca has her supporters, even famous ones. Lady Gaga, for example, said of her: “I say Rebecca Black is a genius, and anyone who’s telling her she’s cheesy is full of s—.”

Simon Cowell is another fan of Rebecca Black’s. He commented on her song, ‘Friday’: “‘It’s what we call a “hair-dryer song, a song girls sing into their hair dryers as they’re getting ready to go out. But the fact that it’s making people so angry is brilliant.”
