I was fortunate enough to get the chance to interview Lex from Survivor (Africa, All-Stars) on Thursday, and in the process got to learn a little something about his rocking band, The Maids of Honor

When I first heard Lex was in a band, I thought they’d probably be decent, but when I heard them I was like, “These guys are really f*@$!#& good!” So I thought I would share them with my rad readers!

Greg Camp is on vocals, and this dude is amazing. He’s been on the Cali music scene since the 1980′s and is a Grammy nominated songwriter, guitarist and singer. He is the former guitar player of Smash Mouth and wrote the tunes which you have undoubtedly heard,”Walkin’ on the Sun,” “All Star,” and tons others. Greg is joined by John Barrett on guitar, Kelly Catastro on bass and the one and only Lex van den Berghe on drums.

The Maids of Honor are holed up for the weekend at Fairfax Recordings in North Hollywood recording their next EP. Send beer.
