Evan Rachel Wood says she is bisexual in an Esquire interview
Evan Rachel Wood is the Hollywood “it” girl these days and it seems wherever you look, there she is.
The 23-year-old has conquered a variety of meaty roles in the past few years and has proven herself to be fierce competition in Hollywood.
Esquire magazine has a piece on Evan in their latest issue, and in it Evan dishes about all things juicy. Her ex-fiancé Marilyn Manson, a secret tattoo of hers, and the fact that she is bisexual. The last item being the one she was most excited to discuss.
Julian Sancton, the interviewer and author of the Esquire piece, painted a picture of Evan being super giddy and extremely eager to share the news about her bisexuality. From the article:
She says she’s feeling free and genuinely happy these days. “I’m up for anything. Meet a nice guy, meet a nice girl…”
This is the third such hint in the conversation, after that androgyny comment and saying she’d “marry” her Mildred Pierce costar Kate Winslet if she could.
You date women? “Yes,” she says proudly, as if she was waiting to be asked.
Do you look for different things in men than in women? “Yeah, I’m more kind of like the guy when it comes to girls. I’m the dominant one.” It’s with women, she says, that her inner North Carolina gentleman comes out: “I’m opening the doors, I’m buying dinner. Yeah, I’m romantic.”
You hear that, bisexual gold diggers? Evan Rachel Woods might be into you. And if she’s really into you, she might just get a tattoo in your honor. She has nine tats, a few of which were inked with a significant other in mind. She has a “J” inked on her left ankle from when she was dating actor Jamie Bell, and two others inspired by her better known ex, Marilyn Manson.
If Evan Rachel Wood represents America’s rebellious teenage daughter, Manson represents the forty-year-old goth in a band down the road she would date just to spite us. They broke off their engagement in August. The inevitable residual tattoos: Behind her right ear, the number “15,” a significant one for the two of them. Behind her left, something that looks like a heart combined with an infinity symbol. “You know, ‘Forever Love,’ ” she explains. “Whatever.”
But what about the secret tattoo? Where is it and what is it of? She’s only willing to share a little bit of information. The tattoo is on the inside of her lip, but that’s all the information she’ll give. “No one gets to see it or know what it says.”
