Lindsay Lohan escapes jail but not community service, house monitoring
Lindsay Lohan probably breathed a sigh of relief Wednesday after the judge in her jewelry theft case decided not to throw additional time at her.
Lindsay is still facing 120-days for her probation violation, but TMZ reports that will amount to about 14 days which Lindsay will be able to serve from home with an electronic monitoring device. She will be confined to her home the entire time, and not even community service will be allowed.
The judge also decided against drug and alcohol counseling for Lindsay, but did require she attend a shoplifting course and psychological counseling.
Still on the table is 480-hours of community service. Once completed, Lindsay’s probation for her DUI case will cease. However, she will be on probation for the next three years for her probation violation stemming from the jewelry theft case.
Confusing, isn’t it? Basically, Lindsay is going to be one busy girl. The community service, if she complies with it, will leave her with little time to get into trouble. Let’s just hope she takes it more seriously that she took her alcohol classes last year. Remember about this time last year when Lindsay went to Cannes and then claimed she couldn’t get back to the states in time to complete her classes? Well, let’s just hope the past is in the past. If not, things are going to get really interesting. It’s do or die time for Lindsay Lohan. Can she do it?
