Jeff Conaway, the actor best known for his roles in Grease, Taxi, and more recently, Celebrity Rehab, has fallen into a coma after overdosing on drugs.
The drugs in question are said to be prescription pills, Jeff’s drug of choice. Jeff was found unconscious on May 11, and is still fighting for his life.
Jeff Conaway has battled drug addiction nearly his entire life. He has said that he’s been an addict since his teen years His first trip to rehab was in the late 80′s.By 2000 Jeff had relapsed and it’s pretty much been downhill ever since.
You may have seen Jeff Conaway on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew a few seasons ago, it seemed Jeff really wanted to be sober, but didn’t have the psychological skills to cope. Then, of course, there was his co-dependent drug addict girlfriend, Vikki Lizzi, who only seemed to be contributing to his problems.
Conaway’s story is really a sad one, back in the early 1980′s Jeff Conaway had an amazing career, he was handsome, well-liked and seemed to have it all. But he was hiding a torturous past which involved physical and sexual abuse.
Jeff Conaway has revealed that as a child he was literally tortured by neighborhood kids and at the age of seven, fell prey to a group pf pedophiles who involved him in child pornography. So now you know where it probably all stems from.
“He is in a coma and unresponsive at this time,” said Conaway’s manager Phil Brock. No word on a diagnosis at this time, but we do know that Jeff Conaway is in critical condition. Brock added: ”He turned his head two days ago, but nothing since.”
