Lindsay Lohan enjoys the sun in Miami, FL 5/22/2011
Rocking a striped bikini and shades, Lindsay Lohan sat poolside in Miami this weekend, soaking up the sun.
We wonder if she was contemplating the role of ‘Carrie’?
The Stephen King horror classic, Carrie, is set to be remade by MGM and Screen Gems, and Stephen King has dropped Lindsay Lohan’s name when the subject of who will play Carrie came up. King told Entertainment Weekly:
“I’ve heard rumblings about a Carrie remake, as I have about The Stand and It. Who knows if it will happen? The real question is why, when the original was so good? I mean, not Casablanca, or anything, but a really good horror-suspense film, much better than the book. Piper Laurie really got her teeth into the bad-mom thing. Although Lindsay Lohan as Carrie White… hmmm. It would certainly be fun to cast. I guess I could get behind it if they turned the project over to one of the Davids: Lynch or Cronenberg.”
Ok, so maybe he wasn’t being completely serious, it was simply a fleeting thought. Hollywood sucks so hard right now with all the remakes! Yes, I have been bitching about incessantly for a couple years now, but seriously, I am just sick of it. They are remaking everything and nothing they are remaking is better than the original. Alright, enough of my ranting…
Lindsay was spotted this weekend sunning poolside in Miami. Despite reports that Lindsay Lohan has quit smoking, she was spotted puffing away with her newly plumped lips.
