Richard Simmons is on Twitter, Still Exercising!

Richard Simmons teaches a class in a studio in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Milton Teagle Simmons, I mean “Richard” Simmons, (I wonder why he chose the name Richard? Heh) is still kicking metabolisms into overdrive and sweating to the oldies.

Simmons, who will be 63 in July, continues to encourage healthy living and claims to have helped people lose more than 12,000,000 pounds since he started instructing back in 1974.

Some fun Richard Simmons facts:

  • Richard weighed 320 pounds when he graduated high school
  • Richard graduated college with a BA in Art
  • Richard’s first exercise studio was named Slimmons
  • Simmons is the voice of Coach Salmons on the Disney Channel animated series Fish Hooks
