Jeff Conaway is dead

After being in a coma for more than two weeks, actor Jeff Conaway is dead.

As we reported yesterday, Jeff Conaway was taken off life support Thursday after being put into a medically induced coma. He had no brain activity since he arrived at the hospital.

Jeff Conaway is best known for his roles in Grease and Taxi, but more recently he had appeared on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.

A sad, sad ending to his story. A life that could have been so wonderful was ruined due to drugs. Whether or not Jeff Conaway really did attempt suicide, it seems his body just could not take the abuse anymore. Now maybe his sleazy girlfriend, Vikki Lizzy, will get a clue. Boy, were those two toxic together or what?

Update: Dr. Drew insists Jeff Conaway is not dead due to a suicide attempt or an overdose: “Jeff is another pharmaceutical death from the overutilization of prescription drugs. Please continue to pray for friends and family. They appreciate your support.”

Rest in peace, Jeff Conaway. We hope you are finally at peace, brother.
