Kim Humphries is Kim Kardashian 2.0

Kim Kardashian will be going by her married name, Kim Humphries

If Kim Kardashian actually ends up marrying Kris Humphries, which, at this point it looks like she will, she will be taking her husband’s name.

Kim Humphries is what her legal name will be, and even though Kim is taking Kris’ last name, it doesn’t exactly mean that she will use the name professionally. There are a lot of celebs who take their husband’s name legally, but keep the name that the world knows them by. Some examples are Carrie Underwood, Heidi Klum and Salma Hayak.

This is usually the smartest choice in Hollywood, and if you believe Jezebel’s report about how taking your husband’s last name could mean a lower salary, it actually might apply to us all. Not that many of us do it though.

Kim Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner isn’t exactly thrilled at Kim taking Kris Humphries name. She said: “I don’t think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries … She needs to be Kim Kardashian because she’s worked so hard to get where she is.”

I actually, I think the name rather fits her. Heh. No more giving away free milk…for a little while at least.

In related news, OK! magazine claims Kim Kardashian is pregnant. We’ve heard this before so I’m not too sure I want to jump the gun and announce her pregnancy like tons of other sites are eagerly doing. I’m holding onto hope anyway!
