Bret Lockett is now saying he didn’t hookup with Kim Kardashian
After hinting to media last week that he and Kim Kardashian had an affair, NFL star Bret Lockett is now saying he never met Kim in his life.
WTH? Was he paid off, or was it all just one big, dumb publicity stunt?
Bret Lockett claimed that he and Kim Kardashian hooked up while she was dating Kris Humpries, but he never disclosed where or gave intimate details. I believed him, and a part of me still does! I just don’t see what he had to gain from it all. Lockett claimed that he merely came forward to defend himself from a tabloid story about he and Kim.
“I’m saying the story in the tabloid is true, and that my relationship with Kim is true as well. The story was going to be run whether I liked it or not. I don’t know how [In Touch caught wind of the story]. I don’t know any of that. But all I know is they contacted me saying they knew about my relationship with Kim. I told them, I said, ‘I don’t know how you got hold of it. I don’t know anything about what you’re talking about.’ They said, ‘We’re going to run it whether you like it or not. Do you have anything to say because Kim and their publicists are going to be able to make a statement?’ Either I could have said nothing, and just let it be and then have me look crazy, or I could have told them the full truth and let it be written as told. So that’s exactly what I did.”
Many people are 100% convinced that this is a terrible PR stunt and I have to agree. Think about it, WHY would someone who’s already famous (for something legitimate, besides fame whoring!) come forward and lie about this unless it was actually concocted by the Kardashians themselves? Kim Kardashian has already shown that she is willing to do anything for fame, including a sex tape, so really, this is child’s play.
Coincidence that Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s Season 6 premiered June 10th? I think not.
Who hasn’t heard of Bret Lockett…now. I think this was his lame attempt to get noticed and promote his lame music career. If you go to his website, the first thing that pops at ya is his music video… He an athlete who has been injured more then he played, and is just looking for a one-up in the celeb world. He is pathetic.
I wonder if he is telling the truth now… Maybe he just has to say he made it up from his manager or something.
