Crystal Harris’ Playboy cover altered as Playboy’s Runaway Bride!
This week was supposed to be a big one for Hugh Hefner, 85, and fiancee Crystal Harris, 25.
Crystal’s new single ‘Club Queen’ dropped on Monday, her first Playboy cover was being released and she and Hugh Hefner were to be married Saturday. Instead, Crystal Harris decided she did not want to go through with marrying Hugh Hefner, so she packed up her things and moved out. What awesome timing!
From the mouth of Crystal Harris:
“For a while, I’d been having second thoughts about everything, so I haven’t really been at peace with myself lately. It was all just happening too fast for me. I just sat back and thought about it all. Is this what I wanted? And it wasn’t. There was no fight. He understood, and we both agreed that it wasn’t the best idea to get married. He was doing it for me because he thought it was what I wanted. [I] wanted to be true to myself … This isn’t the lifestyle for me.”
But what IS the lifestyle of Harris, is dating old, rich, powerful men to get what you want. Thanks to Hugh, we now know who Crystal IS. Without him she would have no record single, no Playboy cover, no magazine covers. Everything worked just as she had planned, she knew what she was getting into.
Thursday morning Hugh tweeted:
“Crystal did an interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning to explain everything, but I still don’t have a clue.”
Hugh Hefner has been very optimistic and open during the breakup. He’s tweeted about friends, ex-wives and girlfriends stopping by to lend him emotional support, how shocked he is, and how he misses Charlie, the dog they shared.
Here are some of his tweets:
“The TMZ report that Crystal & I “had a nasty argument,” prompting her to call off the wedding, is untrue. There were no arguments.”
“Since we’re not getting married on Saturday, I’ve scheduled a movie: “Runaway Bride.” Seems appropriate.”
“Crystal took Charlie with her when she left & I really miss him.”
“I didn’t see any of this coming, but I’m glad things went wrong before the marriage instead of after. Live & learn.”
“Recent events call for a special sticker on the July [Playboy] cover. Look for it on newsstands.”
Then he posted a Twitpic of Crystal Harris’ Playboy cover, showing a big (not big enough) red and yellow sticker splattered across Crystal’s body that reads, “RUNAWAY BRIDE in this issue!”
Don’t you think they should have slapped it over her face instead? Or drawn a mustache on her face or something? Or as one fan suggested, put HOLLY MADISON on the cover instead? Now THAT would have been sweet revenge…
