J.Lo and Marc Anthony in happier times
Here comes the mud slinging…This is gonna get ugly folks.
Since last Friday’s unexpected announcement of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s split, there has been much speculation as to the hows and the whys these two ended up parting ways.
We’re now learning that the famous pair came closer to the thought of divorce as far back as two years ago!
Sources tell Us Weekly, that Anthony cheated on his wife (the two have been married now for 7 years), with a flight attendant he met in 2009, aboard a private plane.
One source stated, “Marc and Jennifer almost split up over it,” while another source followed saying, “Jennifer was going to leave him then, but Marc begged her to stay. They went to marriage counseling and she decided to give it another shot. He was someone she truly loved.”
Along with infidelity, it has been rumored that Anthony, 42, and Lopez, 41, had other major issues that contributed to the split. Jealousy between the two over everything from J.Lo’s career overshadowing Marc’s, to relationships they each had with the opposite sex, and Marc’s much talked about controlling behavior were just a couple other ingredients that fed into this recipe for disaster.
For the sake of their beautiful 3-year-old twins, let’s hope these two can make the split amicable.
Okay, maybe it’s just me… but 1) I was not at all surprised to hear they were splitting up. Why does everyone seem so shocked by this? They never showed any passion for each other, never seemed to truly enjoy being together, so really… it was only a matter of time. Besides, Crazy Days and Nights has been talking about how unhappy they were for a while now. 2) I don’t believe anything coming out that puts Jennifer in a “victim” role. Everyone in Hollywood talks about what a damn diva she is, and now MARC is controlling? Please, give me a break. That woman is working overtime to make everyone think she’s the poor innocent woman in all of this, and I’d bet very good money that that is not the case. It’s all too convenient that Marc was jealous and controlling and a cheat and blahblahblah. Jennifer is no ray of freaking sunshine, and when she IS nice and amiable, it’s for television ratings or a new fragrance or some stupid video. I do not find her genuine at ALL. I think ever damn tear she cried on AI was scripted, especially after she gave interviews where she stated, “Oh, I cried so much more than you even see on the show. They didn’t air it all.” WHATEVER.
