The Emmy Award winning series VH1 Rock Docs will be doing a feature on the iconic MTV music show, Total Request Live.
VH1 confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter after Total Request Live’s original host, Carson Daily tweeted, “Sitting down with @vh1 for the 1st official TRL doc.” Total Request Live aired on MTV for 10 years and Carson Daily was the original host from the show’s debut in 1998 until 2003. The documentary will feature interviews from Carson Daily and some of the show’s later hosts. Artists who were featured on Total Request Live including The Backstreet Boys, Korn and Good Charlotte will also be spotlighted.
I loved TRL and I watched it on a regular basis. Watching Carson Daily host The Voice takes me back to the good old TRL days. Total Request Live had a huge cultural impact and I think Rock Docs will do an amazing job of showcasing it, while also taking us down memory lane.
