Amy Winehouse’s funeral was held Tuesday, July 26, 2011
It was a sad goodbye Tuesday as the Winehouse family, friends and fans all paid tribute to the beautiful and talented Amy Winehouse.
Amy Winehouse, who died on Saturday in her London home, was remembered during Tuesday’s funeral ceremony. Carole King’s ‘SO Far Away,’ a favorite song of Winehouse’s, was played as her coffin was lifted out of the funeral. Just writing about it gives me goosebumps.
Amy’s mother and father, Mitch and Janice Winehouse, attended the funeral, as did good friends Kelly Osbourne and Mark Ronson and boyfriend Reg Traviss. Amy’s goddaughter Dionne Bromfield, whom Amy had performed with just days earlier, also attended the funeral.
An autopsy was performed Monday and toxicology tests are expected to take up to a month before results are known.
