Gene Simmons Pops The Question to Shannon Tweed

After more than a quarter of a century together, Gene Simmons is seen proposing to Shannon Tweed in a season finale sneak peak of their reality show Gene Simmon’s Family Jewels.

Gene, 61, has said in the past that he would never get married, and has even described himself and Shannon, 54, as “happily unmarried”.  The two have lived together for more than 25 years and have two grown children, Nick and Sophie (ages 22 and 18).

OK magazine dishes that in their show’s season finale (which airs Tuesday night on A&E), Gene is seen proposing to Shannon, while on vacation in Belize.  Before getting down on one knee, Gene professes his love to Shannon saying, “you’re the only friend I’ve got. You’re the only one I love … and you’re the only one I ever will love.”

People.com points out that, even though the proposal airs tonight, the show was taped months ago, and since then there have been rumors that the couple were having problems.

In a recent interview, Shannon told People that she had moved out of the home she shares with Gene, and said there was a “slim chance” that the two would get back together.

So the question is:  Will Shannon say yes?  If so, will they make it to the alter?

I’m thinkin’ she’ll say yes,  and no they won’t make it down the aisle.

What do you think?
