Amy Winehouse’s family believes alcohol was the cause of her death

Despite reports that Amy Winehouse bought numerous drugs the night before her death, her family believes it was actually alcohol withdrawal that killer her.

The Winehouse family says that doctors warned Amy to gradually cut back on her alcohol consumption, and not to quit cold turkey, as it may be dangerous. But Amy’s family says that she quit drinking suddenly, and they feel that was the cause of death.

Reports that Amy Winehouse purchased a large quantity of drugs, including cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and ketamine just after 10:30 pm the night before she dies. (Ketamine is used in both human and veterinary medicine. It is an anesthesia and can cause hallucinations, elevated blood pressure, and bronchodilation.)

Regardless of the cause, Amy Winehouse’s death has left a huge gap in the music world. Her album Back to Black shot to iTunes #1 posthumously, and there is already a buzz about a new album featuring a dozen new songs by Ms. Winehouse.

Toxicology reports are expected to take approximately four weeks and then maybe we will know the exact cause of death. I do hope for her sake and legacy that it was alcohol withdrawal that killed her, but I am certainly not going to get my hopes up.

I wish she HAD left a gap in the music world, unfortunately that happened 3 years ago when she loast her talent. Since then she was a croaky, hoarse wreck on stage.

vinegartits to say she lost her talent 3 years ago is ridiculous… She was an amazing, talented special human being up until the moment she died alone that night. She became clouded by drugs and alcohol and like all people who have drugs offered to them whether it be a normal person who is offered that first hit on the crack pipe with “the wrong crowd” or a celebrity like amy winehouse who gets bombarded with free drugs and alcohol everywhere they go inevitably becoming addicted. She was a capable person up until the moment she died which I’m sure her new album will display when it is released. Personally I believe she wasn’t interested in the celebrity side of things like most stage school media trained people like leona lewis are for example. She constantly had paparazzi following her which she treated as some sort of fantasy hence all the pictures of her off her face and offering pap’s cups of tea on her own doorstep. For this she should be treated as a unique talent. Its easy to cast her off as a junkie but the drugs may have made her an even more interesting personality we all know and love. People like paris hilton or cheryl cole would never get into drugs because they think of themselves of some precious little princesses who wouldn’t want to damage their public image. Amy I would’ve loved to have known you. RIP xxx

people can be so mean and judgemental i cant believe some of the stuff people say. You really should be ashamed of urself like for real just because she died this way she was a good person she didnt mistreat anybody but no one sees that. thats ok though she the one in a better place feelin sorry for us cause we still here going through this bulsh-t and livin with people like u AND she died tryin to quit STUPID ur an idiot think about stuff before u say it.

I agree. Amy Winehouse bared her soul through her music, that’s one of the reasons it was so amazing. She seemed to me to be a truly sensitive person and I’m sad she’s gone.
