The new cast of TWO AND A HALF MEN.
Details are starting to leak about the TWO AND A HALF MEN season premiere and how it will wrap up Charlie Sheen’s storyline on the CBS sitcom.
If, unlike me, you can actually get past the first few moments of TWO AND A HALF MEN and that incessant theme song (“Men men men men men men men….”) to the point where you find the show funny, then you might be interested to know how Season 9 is aiming to premiere in light of Charlie Sheen’s departure from the show and Ashton Kutcher’s replacement of his character.
If you want to remain fresh, read on no further, as we’re heading into SPOILER territory.
If you don’t care and want to know how Charlie Sheen’s story on the show is resolved, then you’ve come to the right place. Now you won’t have to feel so awful about watching anything with Ashton Kutcher.
According to Deadline, the two-part season premiere will feature the funeral of Sheen’s character, as he’ll be killed off to move the show forward. Charlie’s girlfriends will come back for the occasion, with the Malibu house he shares with Jon Cryer and that kid whose name nobody knows or remembers being put up for sale. The episode will have a number of celebrities and stars from creator Chuck Lorre’s other series coming in to look at the house as potential buyers, including Kutcher. Kutcher isn’t expected to buy the house by the end of the first show or at all, even if there’s no way to know for sure just yet with cast, crew and audience members signing non-disclosure agreements to keep things as under wraps as possible. However, the story will be moving into Episode 2, by which time the explanation for Kutcher’s full-time status as a character on TWO AND A HALF MEN should be pretty clear.
My mom came up with a better way to ‘kill off’ Charlie. Have him leave a note for Alan and Jake (the kid) that he ran off with Rose, having left the house to Alan. Every once in a while, Charlie would call to check up but never to be seen again. We love this show, and yes, it is funny.
