It’s A Bird… It’s A Plane… It’s Henry Cavill As Superman

Warner Bros. releases the first official look at Henry Cavill in full Superman outfit for MAN OF STEEL. 

Superman is set to fly back to the big screen in the summer of 2013 for Zack Snyder’s relaunch of the franchise with Christopher Nolan producing and Henry Cavill starring in the title role. Shooting is underway on the film, and the studio has unveiled the first production still from the film showing Cavill in the new version of Superman’s outfit. 

It’s a little different than the traditional suit we’re accustomed to, with the colors a little darker and the fabric less spandex-y, but, before fans get all out of sorts about how Superman is being destroyed simply because the suit has undergone some minor cosmetic changes, remember that a costume doesn’t make or break a movie, the story and characters do. Therefore, you might not want to pass too much judgment on the film just yet based on the suit, because if Snyder nails it (something we should have our fingers crossed over, since SUCKER PUNCH sucked), we won’t still be bitching about what the suit looks like… well, at least most of you won’t.
