You’d think it’d be relatively easy to spot Frances Bean Cobain on a regular basis. You’d imagine you’d come across her drunk and passed out along Sunset Strip, drowning in a pool of her own vomit on the sidewalk… or that she’d be in and out of rehab, battling the various substance abuse issues and addictions that’d come from being the daughter of the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. Of course you’d be far from correct, as the rock and roll offspring has led a life of obscurity, only granting a handful of interviews in her life, as she’s maintained a pretty normal and private existence.
From time to time, she does surface, not to do anything crazy, but to intern at Rolling Stone or debut a collection of artwork under a pseudonym. Today, she’s turned up yet again as, just before her 19th birthday, a set of photos of Frances Bean Cobain have appeared in V Magazine online, taken by Hedi Slimane for his online diary.
