Katie Holmes Attends The Premiere Of Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark
Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark leading ladies Katie Holmes and Bailee Madison pose together on the red carpet at the film’s premiere in NYC on Monday.
Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, produced and co-written by Guillermo del Toro, stars Katie Holmes who says she is a huge fan of del Toro’s work. “What I love about Guillermo’s writing is that he doesn’t write victims. Women are not afraid, they don’t just sit back.”
Bailee Madison, 11, stars alongside Holmes and already has quite a resume. She’s starred in Just Go With It [Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler], Brothers [Jake Gyllenhaal, Natalie Portman] and Lonely Hearts [Salma Hayak, John Travolta].
Bailee could easily pass for Katie Holmes’ spawn, don’t you think? She almost looks more like Katie’s child than little Miss Suri. (I still think Suri is Tom Cruise and John Travolta’s love child…)
Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is a remake of the original 1973 made for television horror film that most of us oldies can remember seeing in syndication. Look for the remake in theaters August 26, 2011.
