Jani Lane: Rest in peace my friend
Police found Jani Lane, best known as the former singer of 80s hair band Warrant, dead in a Comfort Inn hotel room in L.A. Thursday night.
There has been no official cause of death mentioned yet, reports TMZ.
Warrant was probably recognized most for their huge hit “Cherry Pie” circa 1989, (remember the video with the scantily clad vixen Bobbie Brown?).
As their fame faded, Lane left the band to seek a solo career, and unfortunately ended up like so many other fading stars…with substance abuse problems…alcohol in particular. Just last year, Lane received his second DUI (in just two years time).
R.I.P. Mr. Lane…
