Kimberly Stewart gives birth to baby girl
Rod Stewart’s daughter, former wild child socialite Kimberly Stewart, gave birth to her and Benicio del Toro’s baby girl on Sunday.
The couple, who haven’t been together probably since the child’s inception, were actually together for the birth. Kimberly’s parents, Rod Stewart and Alana Collins, and Rod’s current wife, Penny Lancaster, were there in support of their daughter and their first grandchild. The baby girl, who has not yet been named, was born on August 21, also Kimberly’s 32nd birthday. She weighed 8lbs. 9oz. and was 22″ long.
The NZ Herald is reporting that Benicio del Torro was in fact also present for the baby’s birth. Good news. Although his “team” say that he is going to accept responsibility, I had my doubts. For the baby’s sake, let’s hope he sticks with it.
Rod, who welcomed his eighth child into the world earlier this year, seems very eager to be a grandfather. “I’m going to be a grandfather, I’ve been waiting for that for so long – that and getting my bus pass – the two things I was looking forward to getting.” (At 65 you may use public transport without paying in the UK.)
It looks like Kimberly’s crazy partying days are over and she’ll be taking on the new role of a mommy. Congratulations to del Toro and Stewart, and may you guys get along for the next 18-years. Good luck!
