If you’ve been waiting with anticipation wondering what Katie Couric’s new daytime talk show could possibly be called now that she’s left the anchor chair of the CBS EVENING NEWS in her wake, well, then you have a sad and pitiful existence. No one should be that excited, losing sleep wondering what the title of the new program might be. However, for those of you who have been waiting on pins and needles for this grand revelation, here it is…

Well, that was anti-climactic, wasn’t it?
The show, set to premiere in the fall of 2012, syndicated across ABC networks is supposed to be topical, but, from the looks of the key art released on the internet Monday, she might just be teaching us how to cook or diet or garden or… oh, God!! It’s going to be another OPRAH-type show, isn’t it?
Shoot me now!!! No, wait… I guess it could be worse. It could be Dr. Phil or that Nate guy.
Consider yourself lucky, Katie Couric. You are not the worst. You’re not Ellen, and I thank you for that. I won’t be watching your show anyway, because you’ll probably be going head-to-head with JUDGE JUDY in most markets, including my own, and there’s no way I’m passing up Judge Judy for whatever it is you’re putting on the airwaves.
