Noel and Liam Gallagher — Forever bound in this nutty sibling rivalry
The Oasis brothers, Liam and Noel, are at it again!
As soon as it seems the Gallagher siblings have found some ‘calm’ between each other, all hell breaks loose and we end up with a crazy story like this one!
Liam, 38, has apparently filed a lawsuit against older brother Noel, 44, in which he states his brother is a total liar, reports The Sun. Back in 2009, when the band decided to split, or rather Liam quit immediately following one of their nasty family feuds, Noel made a statement saying that the band skipped out of a Chelmsford, Essex music festival gig due to a hangover Liam experienced. This, he says, is just not true, and he has medical records proving he had laryngitis.
Citing that the assertion has put his professionalism in question, Liam has ordered his brother to apologize to him. In the court papers, Liam explains, “I tried to resolve this amicably but have been left with no choice but legal action. All I want is an apology.”
The two hotheads are famous not just for creating #1 hits like “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova” (two of my personal faves), but also for their obnoxious fights they seem to love to publicly display.
So, what’s the reason again for all the time and energy spent on this legal battle, and why not just ‘let bygones be bygones’ you ask? Well, if you ask Liam the answer is fairly simple. He says he just wants “Oasis fans to know the truth.”
Fair enough!
