Lindsay Lohan gets passed over for a role in Steven Soderbergh’s next film, and then begs for him to deny that it ever happened.
Lindsay Lohan’s career is in a world of hurt. Outside of suing people to make ends meet, she has no other prospects to build upon. Her once-promising acting career is basically dead, or at least passed out in the corner choking on its own vomit, with no significant roles coming her way, and no directors willing to take a chance on her antics disrupting their films.
However, Steven Soderbergh was willing to give Lindsay the benefit of the doubt, wipe the slate clean and offer her a chance to prove her worth once again in his next film MAGIC MIKE, a picture about male strippers starring Joe Manganiello, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum. The character would have been the troublesome girlfriend of Alex Pettyfer’s character, and LiLo would have been perfect for it, according to E!. In fact, Lindsay was the director’s first choice, but he didn’t want to deal with what comes along with casting Lindsay Lohan, so the role ultimately went to Riley Keough.
To make matters worse, Lindsay is now trying to squash Soderbergh’s reasons for passing on the actress, with E! once again reporting that Lindsay’s people called up Soderbergh, begging for him to deny the story, a request that he turned down with quickness. In fact, she and her handlers were even approached about the role before Soderbergh did his about-face, which means whatever went down in those discussions was enough to sour Soderbergh on his initial idea. Oh, Lindsay Lindsay Lindsay. I hate to say it… but it’s over for you.
You might as well just climb on-board CELEBRITY REHAB or whatever celebrity reality TV train wreck show will have you, because that’s the only way you’re getting your name in lights once more… and that’s only if those bottom-feeding programs don’t find you to be too much trouble also.
