Bachelor Pad Recap: Nearlywed Game Time!

Bachelor Pad Recap: Contestants play the Nearlywed Game

This week on ABC’s Bachelor Pad it’s all about the “Nearlywed Game.”

Host Chris Harrison tells Bachelor Pad contestants that they will need to select a partner and they will be playing with that person from here on out. After Holly teams up with Michael, Blake has no choice but to partner with Erica, much to his dismay and Erica’s delight (and everyone else’s). Ella and Kirk paired up as did Graham and Michelle.

After being told that the couples will be tested on how well they know one another, Kasey and Vienna head to bed early, sure that they will sail through the competition. In fact, immediately before the competition Kasey says: “I’m feeling confident about the competition. It’s so easy. Ultimately I know my partner very well. I mean, she’s my girlfriend I’ve known her for a long time now. We’re gonna take this thing and we’re gonna win. It’s so close I can smell it.”

Then he smells his fingers. Ew. Definitely the most disgusting frog in the pond…

Harrison asks the couples questions such as, “If you were an animal what would you be?” and “What do you think your exes miss most about you?” To the latter question Kasey answers that Vienna would say “teeth.” That pissed her off immensely, you don’t tell an attention whore she has nice teeth. Ya dig? Her answer was “boobs” – duh – and she was livid when he failed to answer that one correctly.

Just like Erica had the paint balloons thrown at her, Blake was the goat this time around. When asked which Bachelor Pad contestant their partner least liked, Blake’s name came up every time – or at least it was edited that way.

Michelle and Graham developed a smart strategy in the Nearlywed Game, to answer any numerical question with “7,” any guy’s name with “Michael,” and any girl’s name with “Holly.” Their strategy won them the game. Winning a one-on-one date, I was anxious to see how these two would hit it off, they’re always touching and cuddling, but until now Bachelor Pad producers haven’t showed us much of anything between them. Coming in second place, Blake and Erica also won a one-on-one date, again, pleasing Erica, and killing Blake.

A helicopter lands to whisk Graham and Michelle away to a movie screening. They share a romantic evening in a pool with a big screen, wine and passionate kisses. Ohhh la la. Lucky Graham. Not sure how this guy gets so much play, in my opinion he is not hot, but every show he’s on, the ladies love him, and Michelle is smoking hot. Too hot for him!

Upset with their loss and being the needy frog that he is, Kasey starts pressuring Vienna for sex in the house. When she rebuffs him, he responds by yanking the ring off her finger and storming downstairs. Kasey, talking to Vienna in the bedroom later, accuses her of teasing him, saying she wants to have sex with him only to be denied when it came down to it. “You said YES. Just like you told Wes, just like you told David Good…” Ha! See? He knows she’s no good too, deep down he does. ”She’s completely different in front of the camera,” he later reveals. “It’s not easy dating her, but I love her.” That was his peen talking, by the way.

With Blake resigned to the fact that he is going home because everyone hates him, Erica takes the opportunity to sink her meathooks into him. Her plan? To get Blake drunk and take advantage of him. She strokes his legs as she speaks to him, and wears her best bubblegum pink lingerie for the occasion. During their date they’re presented with 2 roses and are told that they could save one couple with them. They figure they could use the roses to their advantage, to help keep them in the game. But not before a little boom-boom. “I think we both just need to relax and do whatever we feel like doing, completely,” Erica entices Blake. He takes another swig.

Blake turns Erica down for the overnight stay and opts to head back to the Bachelor Pad before he caves. Erica steadfastly keeps working on Blake, refusing to back down. She tries to convince him (to no avail) that staying the night with her could work to his favor. You gotta admit, Erica knows how to put the pressure on. It was fun watching Blake squirm as he’s probably made so many women do in the past with his aggressive come-ons. Just guessing.

Moving on, Blake and Erica choose Kasey and Vienna to have the safety roses, because you know, birds of a feather. So Vienna and Kasey are safe, and in return they promise they won’t vote off Blake and Erica. Riiiiight.

Meanwhile, Michael wants Blake off so bad that he’s campaigning like mad to make it happen – and it’s working. Michelle and Graham tell Vienna and Kasey they are definitely voting of Blake and Erica, no matter what. Vienna argues they should vote of Ella because no one can win against her due to her tragic past and the fact that she is a struggling single mother. Michelle, unimpressed, says: “I am a single mother too and have gone through hard stuff in my life.”

Of course the deciding vote to as if Blake stays or goes is up to Holly, who can save Blake, but by doing so will destroy the heart of her ex, Michael. Deciding she has feasted on and sledgehammered Michael’s heart enough, Holly sends Blake packing, but not before giving him  a little love note for his limo ride out of the Bachelor Pad.

Holly doesn’t realize it, but her game will be SO much easier without Blake there to distract her. I mean, there is $250K at stake here! Also, from what we hear, Holly and Blake are still dating, so it didn’t affect THEIR gameplay much!
