Madonna Is Annoyed By Lady Gaga’s “Obsession” With Her

Marilyn Monroe and Madonna: Maybe Madge forgot what it’s like to be inspired by someone else

It seems that with the promotion of her new movie W.E., Madonna coincidentally (or not so much), has been making more headlines recently than we have seen in the last several years, but the press is just a little reminder of the bitchy Madge we almost forgot about.

Celebrity Smack’s Infamous Billy The Kidd wrote a great post on Madonna yesterday detailing her disgustingly rude reception of a bouquet of Hydrangeas from a well-meaning reporter recently at the Venice Film Festival.  Madonna, fake with smiles at first, made some nasty comments under her breath about how she just “loathes” Hydrangeas, and how the reporter must not have known.

How dare he!  Off with his head!

Anyway, moving on… Citing the Belgian magazine Le Soir as a source, the Daily Mail is reporting that Madonna had some more dirt to talk, but this time it wasn’t to mere mortal reporter, but instead to her superstar peer Lady Gaga.

When asked about her feelings regarding her “adoring fans”, and in particular, Miss Gaga, the Material Girl had some scathing words for her musical contemporary.  She told the mag, “As for Lady Gaga, I have no comment on her obsessions related to me, because I do not know if it is biased on something profound or superficial.”

Oh puhleeze!

Liz Rosenberg, Madge’s rep, apparently denied the quote saying, “This is not true. Madonna did not say anything negative about Lady Gaga during her press conference.”

Not buying it…either her rep is lying, or she made the crappy comments before or after the ‘press conference’.

Either way, this isn’t surprising, seeing back in 2005, Madonna accused Gwen Stefani of stealing her persona.  She was quoted as saying, “She ripped me off. We work with a lot of the same people. She married a Brit, she’s got long hair and she likes fashion.”

Both Gaga and Stefani have made it known that they were heavily influenced by Madonna growing up, and have cited her as a big inspiration for their fashion and music.

Maybe Madonna should take all the admiration she gets as a compliment and stop drinking that Haterade.  Heh.  She should focus on making better movies, seeing as her latest has been described as ‘extraordinarily silly’ and ‘insubstantial’.

Just a thought.
