The best of buds: Marc Anthony, Will Smith, and friends
The rumor that surfaced a couple weeks ago about Marc Anthony’s apparent affair with his Hawthorne co-star and wife of Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith, is just nonsense, or so Will and Marc want you to believe.
Apparently, the all of a sudden BFFs, both 42, were spotted posing for several media shots at the Miami Dolphins/New England Patriots game Monday night. The Daily Mail has some more shiny, happy pics of the cheery duo (with a couple of other dudes, but sans Jada). Check them out HERE.
As you may have heard, Marc and wife Jennifer Lopez recently decided to end their 7-year marriage, and not long after, speculation about Will and Jada’s alleged marital issues stirred up some gossip.
What caused the breakdown of two of Hollywood’s most talked about marriages, people asked??
Well assumptions were made, and fingers were pointed at a possible taboo Marc Anthony and Jada Pinkett-Smith romance, but Marc shot down those rumors in an interview with ABC’s “Nightline”.
“When something like that happens, it’s laughable”, he said. Marc claimed that when the gossip got around to the families and friends involved, they all laughed it off, saying the two couples had been friends for years. Marc didn’t deny that the assumptions also irked him, because of the effect the negative attention had on their personal lives.
Since then, Will and Jada have released a statement saying, “Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumours circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact.”
Well hopefully for the sake of all the children involved, this whole display of affection between Will and Marc isn’t just for the cameras, and for the couple(s) that end up permanently separating, the split will be amicable.
We can only hope.
