In the short time John Travolta visited a Santa Monica Jaguar dealership to look for some new wheels on Sunday, a classic car of his was stolen!
John Travolta’s 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL, which is believed to be worth up to $100,000, was taken somewhere around 3:46 p.m.….in a parking spot on Berkeley Street, reports E! News.
Apparently, after departing the car for just 10 minutes, the star returned to the spot and noticed it was gone, and reported it immediately.
So far, there have been no witness reports, but the police are launching a thorough investigation.
Travolta, who has frequently expressed his love of aviation (he’s a certified private pilot and owns at least 5 airplanes), also considers himself a huge fan of cars, and has a pretty impressive collection. He reportedly owns a Rolls-Royce, Jaguar XJ6, along with several vintage Thunderbirds.
Fingers crossed that they catch the punk(s) that stole the car…
