This is the 5th year Facebook has held their F8 conference in San Francisco, and just like previous years, FB founder Mark Zuckerberg kicked off the get-together with his usual F8 keynote speech, but something was different about this speech….it wasn’t actually Zuckerberg giving it!
In all of his hilarious impersonating glory, Andy Samberg took the stage looking just like Zuckerberg, from his dirty blond hair, to his signature hoodie sweatshirt and jean combo, and delivered most likely the funniest F8 kickoff the conference has seen yet.
This Zuckerberg seemed a little cockier than the original. He talked major trash on social media site rivals Twitter and MySpace, and spent an excessive amount of time talking about how rad his abs were, and even promised he would “change the world”, which he apparently says every year. He did talk business though, and brought up some cool new FB upgrades that were underway, like the FB button that tells you which ‘friends’ weren’t actually real friends. Ha!
Well within minutes, his identity was revealed as the real Mark Zuckerberg set foot on the stage. Zuckerberg (the real one) assured the crowd that Samberg was just joshin’ them, but admitted that he had made some good points. After a brief hug, Samberg was on his way and so was the conference.
I’m thinking that I would enjoy the F8 convention much more with Samberg there, but I’m a comedian lovin’ gal, and don’t own a Facebook account.
