Kat Von D, Jesse James Break Up Again, Surprising No One

Kat Von D and Jesse James are off-again….for now

Kat Von D and Jesse James have called off their engagement…for the second time!

Their on-again, off-again drama seems to be never-ending, and it makes my head spin!

Von D let Twitterverse know of the break-up on Friday after tweeting a link to her Facebook page where she attempted to answer questions from fans that may have been left confused after watching L.A. Ink’s final episode.  Von D’s tweet read, “You asked – I answered. Xo!” with her Facebook link attached.

In the informal statement, the tattoo artist simply states, “I am not in a relationship. (And I apologize for all the “back and forth” if it’s caused any confusion)”.

If y’all remember, the couple put a halt on their wedding plans back in July, after being engaged for six months (the duo started dating in August 2010, and then became engaged in January 2011).

Regarding the split, Von D recently told People “It was clear to me that we were just on two different paths in life. My friend put it best when he said I could never be more deserving of total, noble love. And as a woman, I think it’s important to know your value and never lose sight of that.”

As fickle as these two are, I have to say I agree with Von D’s thoughts on how women (and men too!) need to know their value, because as the age-old saying goes, you can’t love someone until you love yourself.

I’m thinking the distance and Von D’s work schedule might have contributed to the relationship’s demise.  Even though Von D comes across as a someone who loves being in love, you can tell she is a driven business girl who’s in love with her career.  Hopefully someday she’ll be able to find a balance that’ll work for her.
