Ellen DeGeneres Feeling ‘Fine’

Ellen DeGeneres claims she is ‘fine’ after Monday’s medical scare

Ellen DeGeneres experienced quite a scare Monday, when she suffered some weird chest pains on the set of her talk show.

Apparently DeGeneres, 53, had felt similar pains the night before, but felt good enough to go into work Monday morning.  In a producers’ meeting, a concerned staff member decided to call 911 after hearing of DeGeneres’ mysterious aches, reports TMZ.

After making a brief visit to the Warner Bros. lot, the Burbank Fire Department headed off without the comedienne host.

In her own lighthearted way, DeGeneres joked about the incident during the taping of her television show (which will be aired Tuesday afternoon), giving thanks to all who were worried about her, and even mentioning TMZ.  Ha!

“You know, I like to tell you what’s going on in my life. So today, I will tell you what’s going on in my life because TMZ is also telling you what’s going on in my life,” DeGeneres humorously told The Ellen DeGeneres Show viewers.

She went on to tell them of the morning’s event and assured her audience all is well by saying, “First of all, I’m fine”, before thanking the fire department for coming out.  “I appreciate it”, she said.

Apparently in good spirits, the host then quipped, “Who doesn’t want to see a fireman occasionally?’” Good point!

Monday night she took to her Twitter to express her gratitude once again.  “Thank you all for your concern. I wasn’t feeling great so I called the paramedics, but I’m fine”, DeGeneres said, adding, “The mouth to mouth was totally unnecessary.”

Glad she is feeling better!
