“Remember when I was just a model?”
Tyra Banks claims a Hollywood producer who she won’t name is interested in adapting her book Modelland for the movies.
It’s hard to believe that Tyra Banks actually wrote a book. I already know she can’t host a television show, so why would I think she’s actually capable of writing either? And no, it has nothing to do with her being black. It has to do with her being a model. But apparently Tyra’s following has made Modelland (yes, it’s actually called Modelland) enough of a success that, according to Tyra (via The Huffington Post), a Hollywood producer has already approached her about the possibility of bringing her three-book young adult series to the big screen.
“I would love to open up the ‘Modelland’ casting to the world,” she said. “I’m looking for an Everygirl to possibly play one of the characters in the story.” That’s just what the world needs, Tyra… a crappy movie to go along with your crappy book, which only exists because of your crappy TV show, which stems from your once-attractive modeling. Fine… I’ll take blame for these developments. I used to think Tyra Banks was hot… and I enabled and encouraged the entertainment world, as a result, to give her more… and now look at where we are.
I’m such an idiot, and I brought this upon myself. Next time I’ll be careful what I wish for… because the next hot model I want to see more of may wind up… I don’t know. It might not get any worse than a Tyra movie.
