Dancing With The Stars’ Lacey Schwimmer has something to say to anyone talking about her weight…”Zip it!”

As we shared with you before, the 23-year-old professional dancer recently got some flak after she was seen in some ugly as sin ‘mom jeans’ (side note: where did that term come from? I know plenty of moms that wear cute jeans!).

Anyway, Schwimmer spoke with In Touch magazine (via Daily Mail) about the criticism, saying, “I have boobs, I have a huge butt and I have a lot of muscle. I like having curves – I’m proud of them!”

Apparently Schwimmer overcame an eating disorder (anorexia) that started when she was just 13-years-old, and says she had to learn to love her figure, curves included.  Good for her!

She came forward with her ‘dark secret’ back in 2009, hoping her story might help others dealing with the disease.  Regarding the disorder, she told Access Hollywood, “I was really, really scary thin. My waist [was] insanely thin; my hair was starting to fall out; it was getting thin. My skin looked gray and that’s when… I was like, ‘Alright, this isn’t cool.’ I saw other girls that were healthy and happy at my age and I was not like that whatsoever.”

Although Schwimmer thought she got a hold on the disease by the time she started DWTS at 19, bad habits began to resurface once she faced criticism for her weight on the show, particularly the use and abuse of diet pills.

Luckily those days are behind her, because she’s said that now she simply ignores the trash talk.  She tells In Touch, “There’s nothing I can do about except let it go and get over it.” She adds that the haters can just “Zip it!”

I like Lacey’s attitude.  As I’ve said before, even in the past post talking about those eyesore jeans of hers, she is a beautiful girl with a great figure.  If people are really giving her crap about her weight then THEY have the issues.  She’s really far from overweight in my opinion, but her sense of style outside of the dance floor seems to need some improvement.  The fact is, ill-fitting clothes can make even the skinniest person look unflattering.  Period.
