Reality Rescue 2011: A Great Cause

Andrea Boehlke from Survivor is one of many reality stars attending Reality Rescue in Glen Allen, VA on October 15, 2011

Love animals? Love reality shows? Well then have I got an event for you.

The Reality Rescue Festival is a charity event which goes to support the SoCo Animal Rescue. The Southern Comfort Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization that rescues abused, unwanted and abandoned companion animals and find them new, permanent, loving homes. Their story is great:

Southern Comfort was founded in 2001 in Savannah, Georgia, to provide shelter and find temporary foster or permanent homes for pets left behind when troops in nearby Ft. Stewart’s 3rd Infantry Division shipped out to Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2006, the organization moved to Glenwood, Georgia. Southern Comfort fills a critical need in Wheeler County, which has no other rescues or animal control. We specialize in physical, social and emotional rehabilitation of our rescues. All animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive any and all medical treatment before being placed in carefully screened forever homes. Southern Comfort is a “no-kill” rescue and only euthanizes in cases of irremediable suffering or vicious and dangerous animals.

More than 100 reality stars from Survivor to Big Brother to American Idol will be in attendance and also Superpass (my kickass second job) will be there broadcasting LIVE from the event!

 Get Superpass here:

Watch Big Brother 13 on SuperPass!

Can’t make it but still want to support your favorite reality star? Sponsor them! The reality star who raises the most donations will win a trip for two cruise, so hopefully the event will raise LOTS of money for the animals who so desperately need it. Plan on attending? Visit Reality Rescue’s official website to purchase your tickets in advance. Special discounts available at the Comfort Suites Hotel, just ask for the “Reality Rescue Group” rate.

Thanks for supporting such an amazing cause!
