Katy Perry (sportin’ cute cat ears), with her perfume ‘Purr’ last year
Less than a year since releasing her first perfume “Purr”, Katy Perry has revealed she has a follow-up feline-inspired fragrance in the works called “Meow”.
The 26-year-old singer asked her fans that follow her on Twitter to guess what they thought the scent’s name was, and even made a contest out of it.
On Tuesday, Perry tweeted, “PURR has a little sister! Tweet me your guesses with #NameThatPurrfume! 10 winners get perfume. 1 winner comes to the launch event in Dec!”
The “California Gurls” singer confirmed the name Wednesday afternoon, saying, “MOST of u guessed right! My next fragrance & bestie to Purr is MEOW! She’s very sweet & inspired by that magical place, CANDYFORNIA! #MEOW”
After the confirmation, Perry went on to name her winners, which I was NOT one of! I guessed, and I guessed correctly darn it, but to no avail. Oh well, next time I guess.
No word yet when “Meow” will be available in stores, or for how much. If it is anything similar to “Purr”, it will probably be a sweet and fruity fragrance. Word on the gossip street is that the bottle will also be shaped like a cat, but a cream-colored one with colored eyes.
