Scarlett Johansson Phone Hacker Arrested

Scarlett Johansson: One of many of Christopher Chaney’s hacking victims

Finally Scarlett Johansson can breathe a sigh of relief that the perverted and corrupt creepoid that hacked into her phone to steal intimate photos of herself can now be put behind bars.

Christopher Chaney, a Jacksonville, Florida resident, was seized by the FBI Wednesday, October 12th, according to NME.com, for breaking into celebrity phones and personal emails to obtain naked or partially nude photos of some of the most young and famous Hollywood actresses around today including, Scarlett Johansson, Vanessa Hudgens, Natalie Portman, Jessica Alba and many others.  The official charges he was taken in for included identity theft, wiretapping, as well as others.

What’s interesting, and still gross and disturbing, is that Chaney, a solo criminal in these circumstances, would invade these well-known female celebs’ privacy, but never ask for money from third party websites that he sold the pictures to, says TMZ.  Apparently, the investigations’ secret name was “Operation Hackerazzi”.  Ha!  Good fit!

Talking to CNN about what she labeled an “unjust” infringement on her privacy (which it totally was), Johansson says, “Who doesn’t want to protect their own privacy? Just because you’re an actor or make films or whatever doesn’t mean you’re not entitled to your own personal privacy.”  She concluded that it definitely felt “unjust” and “wrong”.

I agree with Johansson on this one.  She definitely doesn’t seem like she is in the Lohan/Hilton categories of ‘celebs’ that ‘accidentally’ have paparazzi peek-a-boo moments or leak nude pics of themselves purposely.

Well it’s a good thing Chaney got caught, even if you ask him.  TMZ reports that Chaney says he thought he was “addicted” to spying (illegally) into celebrity’s lives, and is actually “relieved” he was found out by authorities.   We are too!
