Courtney Love Responsible For Borrowed Missing Jewelry

Courtney Love in the hole

A judge has ruled in favor of jeweler Jacob & Co. after nearly $150,000 worth of jewelry went missing after Courtney Love borrowed the expensive gems and failed to return them.

Courtney claims she did no wrong, of course, stating that she left the diamond strands, bracelet and earrings for hotel employees to return on her behalf. What that really means is she left them on the nightstand next to her bed before she passed out with a note for the maid or something. Before borrowing the jewelry for a special event jeweler Jacob “The Jeweler” Arabo had Courtney Love sign a release acknowledging the pieces were worth a total of $149,000. After Jacob & Co. informed Love that the diamond pieces were missing she filed a police report but the judge still ruled in favor of the jeweler and is holding Love responsible for fair market value for the items.

Love’s lawyer, James Janowitz, seemed content with the outcome, saying the jeweler is not “entitled to some ridiculous markup. He’s only out of pocket what he paid for them.”

In other Courtney Love drama, the singer lashed out at Fred Durst because, for some reason, she thinks she is too good to play with Limp Bizkit, pissing off Austalia’s Soundwave festival promoter who had planned on booking the two bands, but now only plan on booking Durst’s.
