As much as I feel I’ve stuck by Jessica Simpson’s side throughout the years, whether it be defending her airheadiness, stupid quotes, or fart jokes, the new talk about her ‘selling out’ her unborn child has struck a nerve with me….I find it a little too ‘Kardashian’ for my taste.
E! Online mentions that Simpson, looking as preggers as ever, is on the cover of OK magazine (which hits the newsstands Friday), telling the world, “Yes, I’m Having a Baby!”, along with letting the world know the sex of her and fiancé Eric Johnson’s kiddo. The kicker to me is that, it’s been rumored that Simpson is looking to sell “the real story” about her pregnancy, as soon as she is ‘shown the money’. Classy!
The New York Post claims that Simpson is looking for at least a half a million in cold hard cash to tell the world about her not-so-secret baby bump.
Why wait, when you’re a) rich as all H-E-double hockey sticks as it is, and b) everybody in the freakin’ world already KNOWS you are pregnant!? Apparently, In Touch magazine also has a story on Jess’ bun in the oven, saying that she is having a girl, and already well into her second trimester, with a ‘source close to the singer’ saying, “She’s already having kooky cravings,” and further explaining that the 31-year-old songstress is feening for “cheese-flavored popcorn and nacho chips dipped in chocolate, and drinking virgin margaritas”.
Kooky cravings?? Doesn’t sound THAT kooky for Simpson except for the margaritas being ‘virgin’ and all…we know Simpson lurves her cocktails!!
Do you feel this way about all celebs who sell the baby pics or only Jessica? She’s not the first, and won’t be the last. (And yes, its includes the eventual baby pics according to the original story).
I just reread the story and they’re implying the OK magazine thing was the tell all!! Yikes, that’s some bad research.
Jessica Simpson is no different than any other celebrity selling pictures of their kids. Why keep it a secret for so long though? I think everybody is wishing Jessica well, and she should just fess up! :)
