Kim Kardashian lands a co-starring role in the next Tyler Perry movie.
It’s nice to see that all that practice in acting for her sex tape and on her E! reality show has finally paid off. Kim Kardashian is becoming a real live Hollywood actress… or so this would indicate.
The celebutante has been tapped to co-star in the new Tyler Perry film THE MARRIAGE COUNSELOR, based off another of his popular stage plays. According to Deadline, the film is centered around “an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake.” That role is taken by Jurnee Smollett. Come on… you didn’t think Kim K, Superstar was going to be THE lead, did you? Instead, Kardashian will play the expert’s best friend who hooks her up with a makeover and some newfound confidence as she deals with the mess she’s created for herself.
It’s bad enough that I can’t find anyone who actually admits to going to see Tyler Perry movies, let alone liking them, but I get the feeling that number looks astronomical when compared with people who will now readily admit they are going to watch a film, because it stars Kim Kardashian. At least I hope so… I have a tendency to give people the benefit of the doubt, only for them to come right back and prove to me how stupid they really are.
