Coldplay Covers Rihanna

After pairing up with Rihanna for their song “Princess of China” for Mylo Xyloto, Coldplay give covering Rihanna’s song “We Found Love” a whirl.

Global Grind reports that the band visited BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge show recently and played the song live for the eager audience.  Incorporating their well-known sound of pianos and guitars, Coldplay put their own spin on the originally synthesized rave track.

Apparently doing things ‘Coldplay-style’ is working out for the band.  The group’s 5th and latest album Mylo Xyloto, which was released on October 24th, is expected to hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, which will be the third No. 1 album for the band.

To me, the cover is pretty well done and if I didn’t know already that it was a Rihanna song, I would think it was a Coldplay original.
