Chaz Bono Ready to Sue Over Early Death Reports

Chaz Bono is suing mad over early death estimations by doctor

Chaz Bono is steaming mad at The National Enquirer who published a story claiming that he could die within the next four years.

The gossip rag hired a doc, Dr. Patrick Wanis (‘Wanis’ … heh), who says Chaz’s weight combined with the gender reassignment medications he is taking equal a lethal combination which may cause Chaz to die within the next four years.

You’ll probably see the magazine in your local grocery store this weekend. The tabloid’s cover says in huge font, “CHAZ BONO – ONLY 4 YEARS TO LIVE!” Poor Chaz. I mean, I’m pretty sure Chaz does his own grocery shopping, and having to see your face staring back at you with a caption like that has to be embarrassing. On the other hand, I’ve gotten hate mail for saying Chaz Bono needs to lose weight, but I stand by that statement. Chaz has grown dangerously large and I hope to see him lose the weight at some point, and hopefully sooner than later. Otherwise Dr. Patrick Wanis might come out of this saying, “I told you so.”

Chaz is so upset by the National Enquirer story that he is threatening to sue the publication if they do not publish a public retraction. Chaz’s lawyer sent a threatening letter to the magazine saying: “The salacious and inflammatory headline and article were crafted for the malicious purpose of discriminating against our client’s gender and sexual orientation.”

Now, I’ll have to read the actual article first, but what I am hearing is Dr. Wanis is referring to health issues, not sexual issues, but it seems Chaz’s lawyer is going to play the discrimination card. Don’t get me wrong here folks, I LOVE Chaz Bono and think he really is a total sweetheart but I wish he would use the story as fuel to get out there and take losing weight seriously instead of just getting mad and suing. Don’t be mad, Chaz. I only say it because I care!
