Avenged Sevenfold’s ‘Buried Alive’ Tour

Zacky Vengeance, guitarist (and backup vocalist) for Avenged Sevenfold, recently visited the Ft. Wayne, Indiana’s radio station 98.9 THE BEAR to chat about their upcoming tour and what the group has been up to since the tragic passing of their drummer James “The Rev” Sullivan in 2009.

After headlining the 2011 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar festival this fall, Avenged Sevenfold (A7X), is heading right back out on the road for their “Buried Alive” tour, starting November 23 in Ft. Meyers, Florida. The band is currently promoting their latest album Nightmare (their 5th studio album), which they released in July 2010.

According to BLABBERMOUTH.NET, “Nightmare” earned A7X its “highest-ever debut on the Billboard album chart when it bowed at No. 1” and made the top of the Billboard Rock, Hard Rock, and Digital charts. In addition, the title track was Media Base Active Rock’s “most played song” of 2010. Not surprised.

I’ve been a fan of the band since they released their first album Sounding the Seventh Trumpet in 2001, and I’m pretty proud of the fact that they are from my hometown of Huntington Beach, CA. If you haven’t seen them yet on tour, please do so. They will blow your mind. I can’t think of many bands that actually sound better live than they do recorded, but they do.

yippee… i have seen these guys way back in the House of Blues days.. and they were the best show i never saw.. I was with my bff and ended up black out drunk and not remembering a single moment of the show… but the next day i was home safe, i felt like death, and missing my voice.. all signs of a great concert!
