Breaking Bad: The Super Lab, Behind-The-Scenes Video

Breaking Bad’s ‘Super Lab’ of Season 4

First it was the 1986 Fleetwood Bounder RV … then came the Super Lab.

On AMC’s Breaking Bad the places where Walt and Jesse produce their meth keep changing due to circumstances usually beyond their control. After the death of the Bounder RV, their once freestyle/self-emloyed way of cooking was gone. As the two men became more entwined in (and at the mercy of) the drug underworld the Super Lab provided a secure place for the mass production of the pure, blue meth.

Here is an exclusive look behind the scenes of Breaking Bad’s Super Lab, with the show’s Propmaster, Mark Hansen, describing the different aspects of the Super Lab set, including what exactly that blue stuff is made of.

Did Breaking Bad Season 4 go out with a bang, or what!? Talk about edge of your seat stuff, this show just keeps getting better and better. It outdoes itself every season, which is rare. Very few shows get progressively better as they go on.

In the season finale of Breaking Bad Gus Fring (played by  Giancarlo Esposito) finally gets his revenge with the bell-ringing Tio (Mark Margolis) after Tio meets with the DEA. Even though he dishes nothing, the meeting is enough to justify his killing in the eyes of Gus, who has been waiting years for any old excuse. Little did we know that it would be Tio who would have the last laugh – or the last “ding”.

Esposito told E! that he was just as shocked as fans when he learned how Gus would be going out. “When I saw it I of course was stunned because a part of me dies too every time I have a character death. I’m really ecstatic because it seems that people like Gus. I wanted to create a villain that is not only villainous and meticulous and intelligent but someone people would love and hate. That to me is the ultimate villain you can create…I’m really grateful to be inspired by the writers and to have my performance inspire them to bring Gus to such a beautiful conclusion.”

I for one will definitely miss Gus. As deplorable as he was, he was intelligent, calm and calculated. He was the perfect villain and for some odd reason we loved him.

Cannot WAIT until Season 5. I wonder where the next meth lab is going to spring up, and what new enemies Walter White will encounter. I also can’t help but wonder if it will be cancer – or those enemies – that will get him in the end.
